Gordon Friesz is the right candidate to serve as Judge of 317th District Court. His experience and background
have prepared him well to serve as Judge. He asks for your vote for Judge of the 317th District Court
Gordon Friesz was born and raised in Nederland, TX. He is a lifelong resident of Jefferson County, and his roots run
deep. He is a graduate of Nederland High School and Lamar University. He and his wife, Shelley, have been married for 25 years and chose to raise their 2 children in Nederland.
As an attorney, Gordon has devoted hundreds of hours of family law pro bono services. He has served as Vice President, Treasurer and Director of the Jefferson County Bar Association. Gordon is a past board member and volunteer with CASA, United Way, Nederland Little Dribblers and Nederland Little League. He has never run for political office and truly believes he can best serve as Family Court Judge - 317th District Court.
Gordon has had a law practice in Jefferson County since 2004. He has handled thousands of family law cases -divorces, child custody and CPS matters. He has served as a family law mediator in Jefferson County and surrounding areas. He is a Partner at Wells, Peyton, Partain, Baldo & Lighty, LLP. He is endorsed by the overwhelming majority of the practicing family lawyers in Jefferson County, and the Sabine Area Central Labor Council.
Gordon Friesz has spent his entire adult life working with and for families and children in Jefferson County. He has been a teacher, coach, volunteer and attorney focused on helping make children's lives better. His background and experience has prepared him well to serve as the next Judge of 317th District
Court. He has been practicing law since 2004, and has handled thousands of family law cases including divorce, custody, adoption and other family issues.
He is an experienced family law mediator working with many colleagues helping resolve family law issues with dignity and respect. He has the experience
and background to serve competently with the best interest of all parties to make sure a fair resolution is achieved.
Gordon is a native of Jefferson County, Texas. He is a graduate of Nederland High School and Lamar University. After graduating from Lamar, he taught and coached for a brief period, and then attended South Texas Law School graduating in 2003. He has been married to his wife Shelley since 1996 and they have 2 children, Zack and Reagan. Zack is engaged to Brixie Gallier.
